Rumah lagi

Dah masuk 3 hari berturut2, tiap2 mlm kami ke Tmn Merdeka, mengemas dan memasang perabot. Ibu, ayah n Husna ikut sekali. Ibu siap bawak tv and baju yg nak dijahit. Pukul 1am baru kami balik. Cuma malam smlm agak lewat, pukul 2am baru sampai rumah.

Hasilnya, master bedroom siap! Aircond dah ada, wardrobe (wpun tak abis) ada, katil king size pun ada. Langsir pun dah siap pasang. Semua pasang sendiri, Amran ketuanya, Ayah-pembantu utama, Mama - pembantu kedua and problem solver:p, Husna & Ibu - memeriahkan suasana!

Wardrobe Pax 50cm punya, bucu2nya semua pecah/kopak:( Amran dah call IKEA and diaorang kata boleh tukar, persoalannya kos penghantaran ni macamana. Nanti dah setel, aku review. Kalau IKEA suruh kami tanggung, aku complain giler2, tapi kalau dia tanggung, aku akan puji melambung sampai ISS (M'sia sampai situ je kan;)

Rumah 'Lama-Design-Tak-Hengat' ku!

Alhamdullilah, akhirnya siap juga renovation rumah Tmn Merdeka. Rumah ni, rumah ayah. Dulu-dulu kami dok sini, then Cik Ton (masa CikLan sambung belajar) plak. Lepas kawin, ibu ayah suruh amik rumah ni. Kiranya hadiah perkahwinan kami la. Tade tukar2 nama pun, kalau ibu-ayah nak 'belot' (pinjam word Bell;) sbb rumah dah lawa, pun takpe...duduk la sekali dgn kitaorg, hehe... Wpun belum siap 100%, dah boleh diduduki lah.


Tak ubah banyak (ek?), cuma letak tiles - semua tpt (dulu simen je), tukar semua pintu (dimusnahkan oleh banjir), buat loteng di bilik tengah, tangga nya - design-tak-hengat, tukar plaster ceiling-design simple, wet kitchen kat belakang yg besar-pun-tak-hengat, shower melampau-tak-hengat gak dan akhir sekali, switches yg tangkap-nagis. Pintu pagar pun tukar jugak-tp ni lite-lite je. Fuh, kira ala2 rumah ni dah jadi mcm: luar mcm rumah awam, dalam mcm kondo!:) Siapa 'Project Manager'nya? Amran la!

It took us 2 days (Sat & Mon) to shop at IKEA (but 3 years to survey and wait), haha..abis penuh lori 1 tan IKEA. Kos penghantarannya RM290. Beli Isnin, Selasa dah sampai:) Memang berkampung abis aku kat Ikea untuk 2 hari tu - mcm2 hal jadi, but anyway we made it. We met with the IKEA's angel - Malathi from Kitchen Department. Her help was priceless (wpun 5k+ aku melayang) and truly tremendous. Tqvm, we really appreciate it!



Tp yang paling hanjeng sekali, experience dgn Alliance Bank. We give you -2/10 mark for your service! Aku nak cadangkan kat IKEA pegi guna kad kredit dgn bank lain. Alliance SUCKS!

Al-Fatihah

Al-Fatihah kepada Arwayarhamah Mak Long Miah yang telah kembali ke rahmatullah pada 28 Jan 2008 pada jam 07: 30+ mlm, waktu maghrib. Hari ini, arwayarhamah selamat dikebumikan di Perkuburan Baru, Bukit Durian, 10.30 am.

AIST goes holiday!

Last Wednesday, AIST had its first family day in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for 3 days (16-18 Jan)<< mcm company besar je;). We planned this 4 months earlier, so we managed to get AirAsia tickets for RM150 only (2 ways). Though, I'm not the official staff, but hey, I'm the BOD so I should go;)


As for Husna, this was her second time travel by aeroplane. The first one was the time when AIST conducting PHP Training in Langkawi. She was not a year yet, so I wasn't facing a problem at all. But this time, I was so nervous to think what she's going to behave in the flight (2 1/2 jam beb) plus I get air sick easily:(( Alhamdullilah, Husna was just fine, and boleh tido lagi. Papa took care of her all the way...while the big boss was busy holding the airsickness bag.Phew!

Tourist guide? Hehe, ada, His name is Sumardi - tak bertauliah tp 'boleh la' (translated: cannot expect to much) sbb free;) We arrived KK around 2pm, Sumardi and his father brought us to one of the kedai makan near Sempelang for lunch. I had a nasi goreng ayam, and 'pau' some Gado-gado Sabah from Muza. It's quite same with rojak in Semenanjung but the sauce is much 'cair' than what we have here. Sumardi's father had reminded us that Sabah's time is 1 hour+ earlier than Semenanjung, which means, Subuh is around 5am and maghrib is at 6.20+pm. What a important note! Anyway, Sumardi, thanks for the lunch!

Then, we headed to our apartment. We stayed at Seamaiden Holiday Apartments - a strategic location in KK. The apartment cost only RM400 per night which I think it was perfect for us with 2 families (+ Pauzi & family) and 2 org bujang: Muza & Salimie. It has 3 bedrooms - 1 master room (king size) & 2 bedrooms of queen size, fridge n etc. Papa was most tempted of the free WiFi access, definitely perfect la for him, who is addicted to internet. Everything was just perfect except:

1) no Qiblat sign (mujur ada astro's disc;)
2) no shampoo (tp ada sabun)
3) cannot cook ( the gas is not provided eventhough the stove is there-takpelah, bukan aku nk masak pun!)

After lepaking and enjoying the view, Sumardi fetched us to his house (Kg. Unggun, Menggatal) for dinner. We felt so welcome as his parents were so friendly and kind. We were served with the delicious udang, ikan and sotong bakar,
even Husna and Syakir (Pauzi's elder son), sempat membuat 'kuih' there. Serasi sungguhlah!

Thanks again, Sumardi & family - we are really appreciate with the hospitality.

Second day, the guys had been influenced by Sumardi & his father to go to Kinabalu Park and Poring's hot spring. So we headed there after he managed to rent a suv, Toyota Gaia. Macam sardin jugaklah, sbb 7+3 persons. Practically, it was NOT a good idea to go there with 3 children. Perjalanannya sungguh mencabar dan penuh dgn muntah..haha. Husna was the first person who vomitted. Sian anak mama. Dia mabuk, tade tempat duduk betul2. To mamas out there, bring more plastic bags + extra cloth for your kids;)

Well, aku tak puas hati sangat with this trip, selain dari the fresh air, the cold breeze, the fog and clouds, it was just OK. I even got no chance to see the mountain:( Mungkin sebab 'tourist guide'nya pun tak tahu sangat tempatnya (Madi, kami maafkan;), so tak byk exploring. We had lunch at Balsam Cafe then we went to Botanical Garden.

It was raining so we bought raincoats(rm4) and we 'sort-of' jungle trekking there;) Husna was so excited because she could play in the rain-she never done that!

Something I noticed, the park management should make a good sign board for tourists!

Ohh, Salimie n the boys had chance to be heroes to some cute girls who were stuck in the rain, as their car could not climb the hill...hehe, macam2. Dah tu, mintak no.phone pun takut..aparaaa!

Then, we went to Kundasang's market. Papa bought some mangosteens and 'buah salak'. Muza and I bought the 'Sabah pakis'-we dont know the name (blame the tourist guide-asyik tak tahu je;). Kak Azie bought some keropoks. Later, we drove back to KK. The trip to Poring had to cancel cause the rain was getting heavily:( The trip back was challenging too. More clouds, many lorries and more puke! Sampai apartment, memang gila penat. Papa ordered Pizza je.

Next morning-last day in KK, we went to Filipino Market - bought some pearls. Then, we went to the next market (lupa nama dia), which sell salted, dried fish, squid, shrimp and etc. I bought some too. Next, we went to Warisan Square, but had lunch at the food court in Centre Point (sblah je). I tell you, the price was so damn expensive! Lebih baik makan fast food je! Later, we planned for shopping, unluckily at the moment, Husna started to crank. Her cold was getting bad. So, kami tak membazir duit (lucky us:), only papa got his new Nike brand laptop bag and we went back to apartment. Tido.

7.00pm we checked-out, headed to airport. 9.15pm departure. In the flight, Husna was cranky all the way and I puked all the way back:(( Around 12am we safely arrived LCCT. John fetched us - thanks bro. Unfortunately, Husna had fever, her temperature rise up to 38 celcius. I didnt sleep that nite..cooling her down with cold towels. After her temperature turned down, I slept then. We took Husna to clinic nearby early morning. Evening, when she looked ok, we drove back to Melaka.

Again, many thanks to AIST, my sayang - Amran, Sumardi & family and last but not least to my new shoes;) KK - we will come again!

Welcoming 1429H

Heh, abah kata Husna budak bertuah (aminn). Sebab birthday dia , 10 Zulhijjah tu Raya Haji, then 10 Jan pulak tahun baru. Yup, she is so lucky, sampaikan pecah cermin jam papa. Heh, sian anak mama:( Dont worry, my dear, I will buy you a new watch, ok. Ibu bought her two small, cute cakes with Doraemon and Hello Kitty on the top. Saje tu. Bukan Husna makan pung!

I made cupcakes today. Tapi tak berapa jadi:( Sebabnya:

1) Terlebih butter

2) The paper is bigger for a cupcake.

3) No suitable tray for baking the cupcake.

Takpelah, belum cuba belum tau;)

Lagi..Kukis

Second Day.

Kali ni Butter Cookies pulak. Senang jugak tapi jenama lain - Nona. Bila dah campur2, doh dia keras skit, so kena lah cari acuan. Cari punya cari, tak jumpa pun mak punya acuan tp jumpa mainan block Husna yg bentuk star tu. Haha..boleh la.

Disebabkan guna toy dia, kena la bagi this little chef ni 'tolong'.

Biskut tu 'dihias' dengan choc chips, hazelnuts and almond nuts. Bila masuk dlm oven, biskut tu pun menembam jugak. Jadi next round, kitaorg buat nipis skit. Sedang beria2 buat, Cik Nab + Ija + Aishah dtg..hehe malu lah jugak sbb diaorg otai buat kek n biskut:p.

Hasilnya: Termanis n keras. Heh, aku masuk skit air, sbb tgk doh tu mengeras (kitaorg dinner dulu sblm start). Patutla, ibu kata tak boleh masuk air dooohhh;)

"kukis" New Year

2008 resolution? mmm..never think about it yet;) but I have only one in my head, which is FINISH MY THESIS BY MAY!!Caiyok..caiyok!

Hari ni cuti, mama, adik n bell (ohh of course Husna too), kitaorg buat kukis..hehe. Tak penah buat, huhuhu mcm main masak2 je:) Dulu2 pernah jugak aku buat kek n kukis masa mula2 ibu beli oven. lepas2 tu tak penah aku buat. So sempena tahun baru ni,kitorg buat la. Untuk warming up kitaorg buat cokelat kukis yg INSTANT punya je. Adik n bell pegi pinjam oven ciknab-oven ibu sudah LAMA rosak. Then bermula la experience pertama. Senang aje, tambah butter n sebijik telur je dlm adunan tu. Aku rasa mcm manis sangat so tambah lagi tepung skit.Bell pulak ckp letak skit garam(hah? garam?..first time aku dgr). Dia kata untuk 'natural'kan manis tu...hah,belasah je lah! Then kitorg campur skit hazelnuts. Bila dah masuk dlm oven, baru aku tau..kukis tu mengembang2, hehe..Second round aku buat kecik skit.

Resultnya?? Yum yum, mestilah jadi dan sedappppp. (Gambar 1 je amik, terlupa sbb excited sgt). Husna makan byk, skjp2 dtg mintak 1. Dia kata papa nak, rupanya2 dia makan separuh then dia kasi papa:)

So our mission has accomplished! Disebabkan dah jadi, semua org berkobar2 nak buat lagi. Next missions are : Butter Cookies, Oat Cookies, Brownies and Cup Cake.
