November Rain

8th Nov 2008-Mini Gathering x-MRSM Muar 94/95
I had a really good time meeting up my good, old frens from Muar. Even though only a few frens (9 ppl) turned up but these people are the happening people, so it was really happening gathering! Thanks to Wanie - bersungguh2 initiate this gathering, Peah, Anid, Irma, Ruzaime, Aza, Fieda and of course Amran! I miss you guys already. I'm looking forward to the next big reunion and will support 101% to the Project Manager-Amran. (Gambar? Soon otey)

11 Nov 2008 - Alhamdulillah
Achik had safely undergo the mastectomy operation. I just visited her yesterday. She's getting better and she could get up own her own.

13 Nov 2008- Happy 57th Birthday, Ayah!
We took him to es.sence Kitchen's for dinner. Best jugak sesekali keluar kami 5 beranak aje..hehe..I'm happy to see Ibu and Ayah are happy:) We talked and laughed of many things till I could see Ibu's face became red and she kept telling us, she wanted to 'shishi'! :) Thanks, Amran for always being there for me...(heh, dia bayarkan!:p)

Breast Cancer

This is really bad. Another cancer is visiting my family member:( Yesterday, I received a call from my mom. She told me that my Achik (yes, the chef of my open house) has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Astagfirullah.

She have done the screening and testing before, and that is the result. I don't know her cancer stage but according to my mom, the tumor measures 3-5cm. Based on my readings, maybe it's Phase 2. She's scheduled for a mastectomy on 11th Nov. I also don't know why she's scheduled for mastectomy directly instead of lumpectomy? Maybe that was the doctor's suggestion or Achik doesn't know what kind of surgery she's going to have..... I've printed a few articles that I think she should read......

Emm...why I don't know all these important information?? Because I don't have the guts to visit her:(( :((

Our Dyson DC25 Animal

You-know-who has bought a Dyson last week and today, the machine (selepas ini dipanggil Mat Dyson) arrived around 630pm. On the spot, you-know-who was so excited to try and cleaning the house. I LIKE!

Terasa bersih sungguh rumah aku selepas disedut oleh Mat Dyson ni. The suction is excellent, the design is unique, no wonder it so expensive and popular in UK (gila rajin betul orang yang beli ni!) I am really impressed with Mat Dyson's work. I tell you why...I got this rug, it's never been easy to remove dust/dirt from it. Even after vacuum, I have to brush the rug. But, with Mat Dyson, it's really easy and look easy. Macam lalu aje...heh, kagum, kagum.











Second part lagi aku kagum, meh kita tgk habuk dia.....sehalus-halusnya pun disedut. Ada 2 jenis habuk yang dikeluarkan: 1-rupanya kasar, mcm habuk carpet biasa kita tgk. 2-habuk ni very-the-halus, macam debu. Aiiiyek...nampak bersih je carpet2 ni, rupanya berhabuk...terbukti asthma friendly ("Dyson uprights are certified asthma & allergy friendly™ by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.The air expelled from a Dyson vacuum has up to 150 times less bacteria and mold than the air you breathe").


This type of Mat Dyson, is work best for those who have pets. Pets? Heh, mana ada. Mana tau kalau you-know-who takmo vacuum lagi, boleh la aku buat business sewa vacuum for pets. I havent try other tool and techniques yet, and it's too early to give puji-pujian but I'm sure Mat Dyson (and the person who is going to be the main user) will not disappoint me (wink).

My Open House

Alhamdulillah, semuanya berjalan lancar semalam. Aku sampai tak sempat nak amik gambar. Overall, aku penat and puas hati. At least, berjaya juga aku membuat 1 majlis untuk sedara2 and jiran2 ku, yang asyik tanya je, bila nak buat 'open-house' sejak masuk rumah ni;)

Ada 1 perkara yang aku hangin betul...aku terpaksa membasuh cadar bilik tidur ku yang BARU dan baru ditukar, yang merangkumi EMPAT lapis itu, the quilt cover, the quilt, the bedsheet and the mattress protector!! Ini gara2 si Aimi Kapi...ntah air kencing ke susu tumpah ke...habis basah semua. Hangin betul!

Despite the frustration, THANKS so much to my relatives, my friendly neighbours, my colleugues, who were willing to come to the very small-but-impressive house (ahaks:p)...heh, nasib cukup tpt duduk semua, cuma kesian tpt tak luas dan cuaca agak panas. Thanks to Gan and Chan, for the buah tangan. Thanks also to Mak Edah, with the-marvellous-my-feveret bread pudding and the fruit tarts. Oh tidak lupa untuk Ibu tersayang, yang masak Mee Siam & Sup Ayam.=)

Most credit goes to Achik (my aunt) and family, the chef of the day. Masakan semua menjadi dan sedap, cuma 2 benda Achik kena improve lagi : TIME and 'presentation'. Aku dah set kul 12, tp kul 12 baru dia sampai..heh, orang pulak dah dtg. Dah 2 kali kot dia buat camtu...so I guess that her big problem that need to be improved as a new businesswoman. Bab presentation pulak, idak ler teman berapa gemor pakai tupperware2 ni... Takpe Achik, masakan Achik yang sodap tu memuaskan hati & perut tetamu2 saya, I LIKE!!

What? Dyson?

Someone is going to buy this remarkable machine. Ada duit rupanya ini orang. Kalau macam tu belikan lah aku handbag baru ke, keta baru ke.., kan, kan, kan.

To this crazy person, "kalau tak rajin vacuum rumah lepas ni, aku jitat paler ko!" muahahaha...

Mistaken Identity

Husna believes she is a princess. She sometimes said to others - My name is Princess Husna. I have to buy almost 10 dresses because she only wears a dress, which she calls as 'baju princess' or 'baju-nampak-tiak'. I have to make-up stories just to pujuk her to wear pyjamas in the evening. She even asked for a crown!! Nobody teach her what a crown is! She will dance and sit like a princess, and even waving her hand like a Miss World waves to the crowd..aha, you know how..

However, sometimes this princess-wannabe thingy, helps me too. I could tell her something like... princess always behave, eat carrots for beautiful eyes, eat vege for beautiful hair...hehe. A princess never shout and always say please and thank you. Yaa, it works you know..ohh my girl really wants to be a princess!=)

Actually mamas, we have to nourish this kind of imagination (of course la mesti berpada) to help her to be imaginative, to improve vocabulary (yup..suddenly she could say crown), to learn social rules and more. Read here.

Takpelah Husna, Mama can deal and accept this. You still look pretty and cute. Mama tak boleh bayangkan kalau Husna nak jadi Spider Man ke, Transformer ke or lagi teruk nak jadi pelakon Bollywood!

1) Cas the Mrs Amran, who used to hate Amran a lot

Yes. It’s correct. I did not like (almost hate) him during my school time. Even worst, I never spoke even one word to him.Hehe..I guess it’s right when people say- the person we hate most will the person we love most one day.

2) Cas the Lecturer? I dont thing so...

Again, one of the things that I didn’t like, become part of my life now. No regret but if things are worked like this for me, I would like to ‘hate’ so much Wentworth Miller, and I ‘don’t-want’ to be a Prime Minister Ketua Menteri Melaka. (err tanak la nanti tak dapat Husna..huhu.)

3) Cas the Hair Cutter

Mungkin ramai tak tahu ni – aku 'PANDAI' gunting rambut orang. My regular customers till now are my grandparents: Abah and Mak. My cousins (when they were kids) were also be my bahan-uji-kaji. In fact, Luqman dah rasa telinga kena gunting dgn aku..muahahhaaa…opps sori Luqman, nanti akak belanja k. (Heh, dia bukan ingat pun, dia kecik lagi). Kat MRSM pun aku kerjakan rambut orang, antara pelanggan setia aku ialah Natasha, Caca, Apore, Anid, junior2 (tak ingat nama dah), dan Wanie (err ada rambut ke dia dulu?) Sekarang, aku dah ada mangsa baru: Husna!

4) The picky Cas

I have to admit this…aku sangat-sangat cerewet sebenarnya but I’m trying to control and to cover it. It’s never been easy but I’m still working on it. This kind of manner will help you in some matters and of course, will break you too. And you will be one of the difficult people in the world to be with.

5) Cas the mountain-a-holic

There are 7 mountains in Semenanjung Malaysia which are above 7000 feet and it is known as the G7. To complete the G7 is one of the goals that all climbers ever wanted. And believe or not, I managed to conquer 5 of the G7 (ntah dapat ke tak abis kan G7). Hehe terer tak hakak?!:) Emm, sebenarnya aku tak sure (dah lupa), aku dah pegi G. Yong Yap ke belum…geng, boleh ingatkan aku?

Tapi banyak tempat juga aku dah pegi, seperti Gunung Ledang, Gunung Stong-Ayam, Gunung Jerai (naik keta:p), Gua Kelam, Tasik Kenyir dan G. Gerah dan kaki Gunung Kinabalu je.

Ohh, when I’m writing this, I do realize I miss the smell of the forest in the morning, miss the view that could only be seen when you are at the top, the dinner ritual - where we ate together in a long row with the ‘plastik sampah’. I miss my green haversack, my red long sock and red arm sock. And definitely I miss my kembara friends..huhu..sob..sob, jom la buat reunion!

6) Cas the shop-a-holic

It’s been an important pattern for ladies in this world. The difference between us is only the level of obsession. I believe (terbukti berkesan), shopping is the best stress therapy. And it works best with a husband who has the same pattern. Rite Sayang?=)

It is my day! (Part 3)

Setelah terpersona dengan kecantikan Selat Melaka melalui "It is my day (Part 2)", kami telah menempah 1 bilik untuk menyambung sambutan anniversary kami. Kami memilih bilik yang mengadap Selat Melaka (again), so agak mahal sedikit-rm 300++, tambahan lagi kena hari Sabtu. Aku agak excited untuk bercerita mengenai percutian kali ini kerana, ini kali pertama aku bermalam di hotel kat town Melaka, yang berapa minit aje boleh balik rumah ambil barang;) (oh aku pernah la tido kat A-Famosa tu, tp tu lain sbb ada Water World). Yang kelakarnya, Husna ingat dia pergi KL;)

Biliknya bersih (yelah hotel baru katakan), gambar2 yang sangat unik, berserta seterika, bathrobe dan kelengkapan yang patut bilik hotel ada. Di sini, guest boleh pilih bath tub atau pun power shower. Secara jujur, aku tidak se-surprise-mana, kerana ini hotel baru tapi pemandangan dari bilik kami sangat memeranjatkan seperti aku cerita sebelum ini...dari bilik kami, boleh nampak The Jetty, Masjid Selat Melaka dan sudah tentu Selat Melaka yang aku sangka sudah lama terkubur kecantikannya=) Korang boleh tengok kat sini, apa yang aku maksudkan. Swimming poolnya juga menarik - dari hadapan kelihatan seperti 'tergantung'. Kami bawa Husna sebelah petang, melepaskan 'gian'nya..hehe sampai lupa nak ambil gambar.

Tema dinner malam itu ialah 'Fisherman's Catch' (kot), kena betul dengan kesukaan kami sekeluarga. Tak ramai orang so kami dilayan begitu baik dan mesra sekali [Baca: Harusla kan ko layan aku - aku bayar 50+ sekepala ok]. Bila tanya Husna dia nak makan apa, boleh tak dia ckp dengan waiter tu - "I want scramble egg!". Dengan tidak keberatan, dia pun memesan untuk kami. Selepas itu barulah, Husna nak makan udang. Amran pun tak lepas peluang mencuba tiram - aku? belum sanggup lagi. Paling aku enjoy sekali ialah waktu menikmati dessertnya...yum yum yum! Burp!=)

Oh, malam kami tidak habis lagi. Oleh kerana kami berdepan dengan The Jetty - salah 1 outletnya ialah GoGo KTV Box (boleh baca review & pic nya di sini), Amran nak sangat pergi berkaraoke sampaikan Waiter itu (sorry lupa nama awak;) sangat baik sekali, telah menempah 1 bilik untuk kami. Aha, aku rasa segan pula nak pergi karaoke di Melaka, dengan bawak anak sekali..uh uh! Helo, kalau jumpa students aku macamana? Boleh la kan diorang ckp - "Ohh miss, that's why you havent marked my test yet....you bz karaoke-ing only!!? "(Mati aku). Oh guess what, yes, I did meet with my students:p GoGo tempatnya selesa, bersih dan sesuai la kalau nak bawak family sebenarnya=) Untuk menghangatkan malam kami, kami menjemput Adik untuk 'sumbang'kan lagu2...hehe..tengok gambar kanan tu, macam artis fofular! Husna pun nyanyi juga - lagu ABC, Baa Baa Black Sheep dan sebagainya.

Esok tengahari, kami check-out. Adik amik Husna pegi kenduri, Mama & Papa dia pegi shopping...hahaha. Minggu tu, betul2 berlagak macam orang-kaya-tak-ingat-dunia!

Moral of the stories:
1) Menarik + cantik juga Melaka ni ye!
2) Ye, Ana, saya perlu dapatkan camera yang gempak.

It is my day! (Part 2)

As you know, this year we decided to celebrate our anniversary at spa...saje cari kelainan.;) We managed to book a package from a new spa of the newest hotel in Melaka -Tea Tree Spa @ Holiday Inn Melaka.

Tea Tree Spa offers so many packages for couple from RM415++ to RM 675++. We chose one of the couple packages [baca: yang paling murah & lengkap;)], at about RM555 + 15% tax (150 minutes), special one called Wedding package (lebih kurang mcm tulah bunyinya - aku lupa:D). This package is including body scrubing (lulur), aromatherapy massage, rose milk bath (in a jacuzzi), manicure & pedicure. That was why I said, this is the cheapest and the perfect one after dihitung those individual treatments=)

We were a little bit late from our original appointment (our fault), so we had to wait around 15min for the room preparation - luckily it was not holiday yet. While waiting, we're served with the welcome tea. (CAS POINT: 3/5)

We were brought to a wooden bali-like treatment room, but actually it is a 'Peranakan' inspired design of pitched roof (according to their brochure). There were two Indonesian ladies waiting for us. The room is designed for couple treatment, completed with 2 showers, a toilet, a jacuzzi tub, a verandah and the most facinated is, it's facing over the Straits of Melaka...and you know what, it was really suprised me that it was a really beautiful view, and all this while I've been in Melaka and I didn't realised that Melaka has her own beauty;) (CAS POINT: 5/5)

Firstly, they gave us the 'aromatheraphy-welcome-massage' for our foot. Aku rasa lebih kepada membersihkan kaki la actually nya;) Then baru the body scrubing. You can choose the scrub - 'kunyit' or green tea scrub. I chose green tea scrub while Amran's choice is the kunyit lulur. Bestnya...dah lama aku tak scrub badan aku. Tapi aku dapat rasa Amran lagi suka...sbb badan Amran yang tak pernah ber'scrub':p Second part, was the body moisturizing with tomatoes! Just Perfect! (CAS POINT: 5/5)

Third part (after taking shower to clean the tomatoes), it was time for Rose Milk Bath in a jacuzzi. I love this session...the smell of the roses, the serenity environment, the warm water and the most important thing was the present of my beloved husband:) (CAS POINT: 5.5/5)


The fourth session was the aromatherapy body massage. Masya-Allah, sedap sangat. Sukar aku nak gambarkan betapa sedapnya. Oh in fact I could, ada orang tu sampai tertido + berdengkur;) - kesian lady yang urut Amran, yelah urut badan orang lelaki..tp aku silap, kesian Amran sampai terjerit sakit..haha, rupanya orang tu lagi kuat! (CAS POINT: 5/5)

Then the final session was the manicure & pedicure treatment. I thought I would get both, rupanya man will get the pedicure and lady will get the manicure, cis! Kalau aku tau, aku mintak 2-2 untuk aku..hehe. Takpe next time, bagi chance kat Amran rasa mcmana orang belek kuku kaki;) However, I was not 100% satisfied with the manicure treatment, setakat bersih gitu2 and kilatkan, and I could say not a session that I was expected coz I had done a manicure treatment before. I guessed she must be tired - I forgot to mention that the same person will serve us from the beginning (or else aku kena tipu!) . Takpe, aku maafkan [baca: aku tak kan beli manicure session from this spa again:p] (CAS POINT: 2/5)

Overall Point : 4.25 / 5.00

So mamas & papas out there, why not try different celebration for your anniversary/birthday like having a spa treament together, and I bet you wont regret it:) [Selamat anniversary juga untuk Anid and Peah]

And for my dearest Amran, no words can describe my love and my thank-not only for this year but for all the years we've been through together. Of course, I would like to spend another 40 years with you, insya-allah. Semoga Allah memberkati rumahtangga kami, Amin!

Ramadhan 1429

Selamat berpuasa kepada semua kawan2, sedara-mara dan konco2 ku. Semoga kita diberkati Allah hendaknya...Amin.
