It is my day! (Part 2)

[This entry was supposed to be posted on 28th August 2008]

As you know, this year we decided to celebrate our anniversary at spa...saje cari kelainan.;) We managed to book a package from a new spa of the newest hotel in Melaka -Tea Tree Spa @ Holiday Inn Melaka.

Tea Tree Spa offers so many packages for couple from RM415++ to RM 675++. We chose one of the couple packages [baca: yang paling murah & lengkap;)], at about RM555 + 15% tax (150 minutes), special one called Wedding package (lebih kurang mcm tulah bunyinya - aku lupa:D). This package is including body scrubing (lulur), aromatherapy massage, rose milk bath (in a jacuzzi), manicure & pedicure. That was why I said, this is the cheapest and the perfect one after dihitung those individual treatments=)

We were a little bit late from our original appointment (our fault), so we had to wait around 15min for the room preparation - luckily it was not holiday yet. While waiting, we're served with the welcome tea. (CAS POINT: 3/5)

We were brought to a wooden bali-like treatment room, but actually it is a 'Peranakan' inspired design of pitched roof (according to their brochure). There were two Indonesian ladies waiting for us. The room is designed for couple treatment, completed with 2 showers, a toilet, a jacuzzi tub, a verandah and the most facinated is, it's facing over the Straits of Melaka...and you know what, it was really suprised me that it was a really beautiful view, and all this while I've been in Melaka and I didn't realised that Melaka has her own beauty;) (CAS POINT: 5/5)

[Note: Atas sbb2 keselamatan, beberapa gambar model terpaksa digunakan;)]
Firstly, they gave us the 'aromatheraphy-welcome-massage' for our foot. Aku rasa lebih kepada membersihkan kaki la actually nya;) Then baru the body scrubing. You can choose the scrub - 'kunyit' or green tea scrub. I chose green tea scrub while Amran's choice is the kunyit lulur. Bestnya...dah lama aku tak scrub badan aku. Tapi aku dapat rasa Amran lagi suka...sbb badan Amran yang tak pernah ber'scrub':p Second part, was the body moisturizing with tomatoes! Just Perfect! (CAS POINT: 5/5)

Third part (after taking shower to clean the tomatoes), it was time for Rose Milk Bath in a jacuzzi. I love this session...the smell of the roses, the serenity environment, the warm water and the most important thing was the present of my beloved husband:) (CAS POINT: 5.5/5)

The fourth session was the aromatherapy body massage. Masya-Allah, sedap sangat. Sukar aku nak gambarkan betapa sedapnya. Oh in fact I could, ada orang tu sampai tertido + berdengkur;) - kesian lady yang urut Amran, yelah urut badan orang lelaki..tp aku silap, kesian Amran sampai terjerit sakit..haha, rupanya orang tu lagi kuat! (CAS POINT: 5/5)

Then the final session was the manicure & pedicure treatment. I thought I would get both, rupanya man will get the pedicure and lady will get the manicure, cis! Kalau aku tau, aku mintak 2-2 untuk aku..hehe. Takpe next time, bagi chance kat Amran rasa mcmana orang belek kuku kaki;) However, I was not 100% satisfied with the manicure treatment, setakat bersih gitu2 and kilatkan, and I could say not a session that I was expected coz I had done a manicure treatment before. I guessed she must be tired - I forgot to mention that the same person will serve us from the beginning (or else aku kena tipu!) . Takpe, aku maafkan [baca: aku tak kan beli manicure session from this spa again:p] (CAS POINT: 2/5)

Overall Point : 4.25 / 5.00

So mamas & papas out there, why not try different celebration for your anniversary/birthday like having a spa treament together, and I bet you wont regret it:) [Selamat anniversary juga untuk Anid and Peah]

And for my dearest Amran, no words can describe my love and my thank-not only for this year but for all the years we've been through together. Of course, I would like to spend another 40 years with you, insya-allah. Semoga Allah memberkati rumahtangga kami, Amin!

Oh ye frens, I thought my day would end here, but it was NOT! Heh, wait for my 'It is my day! -Part 3' entry soon!

While the mama was away...

The situation:
>> The mama had to attend a retreat in PD from Friday morning till Sunday afternoon (3d 2n).
>> Could not bring along the child as the schedule was full till 10.30pm.
>> The papa could not get the room for that weekend (cuti sekolah da)
>> The child never sleep without her mama.
>> The household chores will be left undone.

The result :
1) The papa has passed with flying colors. Bravo! Good job! He was not only taking care of the child, but doing the chores too..suprise!=)muahh!
2) And of course, the mama had a lot of fun with her frens!=)

The papa's tricks:
1) Sleep til noon.
2) Go to McDonald's, Pizza dan sewaktu dengannya, for lunch and dinner.
3) Bring the child to the park or mall's playground...main sampai penat.
4) If step 3 you do with your full heart, the child will fall asleep easily.

Ok..Selamat mencuba & all the best, frens!

Keeping my romance alive after Husna arrives

I read babycenter occasionally though the site provides so much info and tips. This whole week was my midterm break so I have ‘sedikit’ time for reading. I would like to share with all mamas and mamas-to-be out there.

The topic is about "Keeping romance alive after kids arrive".

According to their survey, there are many couples worried about how it would impact our love and sex life after having kid(s). Ya that’s true, including us. Alhamdulilah, we manage to maintain the romance (rasanya) although it is difficult in the beginning. Here are the tips/ideas that I pernah buat which are also recommended by the readers of babycenter.com.

1. Flirting and cyber flirting
Yup… amat mudah sekali nak flirting dgn husband yang sememangnya mengadap computer almost 15 hours per day. This trick is really working for me. It is the alternative way to express my feeling - to tell him how much I miss him (chewah) and marah jugak:p I feel like in love again if I’ve got his 'email cinta'. Ohh bab ni Amran mcm dah lupa and tak buat lagi (huhu), anyway YM pun oklah! Kepada couples yang buta IT tiada internet connection, bolehlah mencuba 1 lagi trick iaitu SMS, or a note (like post-it note), where you can put in his briefcase or mana2 lah yang boleh dia nampak. Make sure it short, simple and sweet. "Sayang, tolong buang sampah" <-- ini tak termasuk ok!

2. Shower power
Hah tips ni memang dicadangkan juga oleh Dato’ Dr Hj Mohd Fadzilah Kamsah dalam one of his CD iaitu mandi bersama. Itu sebab perlu memasang air panas kat rumah. Waktu yang sesuai hanya waktu malam iaitu selepas anak dah tido. I quoted one of the parents say “Our troubles and fears go 'down the drain,' and it lets us slow down, relax, and enjoy each other." – I agreed!

3. At-home dating
For me this is hard to do. Tapi bagus juga..where you plan only two of you in the house, ponteng kerja take leave, masak together ke, put candles in the room or watching romantic movie. Anyway, kepada yang biasa masak2 untuk suami and anak2 nya, tips ni boleh diabaikan - boring!

4. Leisurely lunch date or watch movie
I like this idea, in fact we have been doing it for several times during weekdays. Tak kisah la walaupun makan kat JJ aje (wink) and like 1 hour only but the quality time is precious. The feeling of getting together makes me feel like falling-in-love again..wah! Masa ni lah boleh pegang2 tangan ke, suap makanan ke, main gosok2 kaki ke...yelah kan, dulu masa bercinta tak boleh buat, dah berkahwin taknak pulak buat!

5. Frisky business
"My husband and I get a babysitter and plan a date — but not a typical, married-couple kind of date. He goes somewhere else to get ready, we meet at an agreed-upon place, and we act as if we've just met. Sometimes we pretend to be someone else. Last time, I was a doctor and he was a policeman."— Anonymous (babycenter.com's reader)>> I also like this idea...belum cuba lagi, but I guess it would be fun:)

6. Little things that count
My frens (and for my sayang too), bila kita dah berkahwin and dah ada anak, these little things (we thought as little things) actually really count and vital to keep our passionate feeling grows and alive.
# Going to bed at the same time - where we can have 'pillow talk' (activity selepas itu, ikut korang la ye;)
#Saying 'thank-you' and 'maaf' to your partner every night unconditionally
# Peluk/kissing each other without reason
# Solat berjemaah and he recites doa loudly saying about his love, hope and care about us..

Untuk menambahkan ilmu lagi , you may buy CD of Dato' Dr. Fadzilah, tajuknya "Semarakkan rasa cinta selepas berkahwin", kat Petronas Mesra pun ada, tak mahal;)

Ok frens, selamat bercinta and jatuh cinta semula! I love you, sayang!
